at the farm Neuhuberhof
Saturday
After arriving at the farm Neuhuberhof and taking a first look at the farm grounds, you might want to stretch your legs a bit. We recommend the Circular Trail around Fiè, which takes approx. 1 hour and offers a wonderful insight into the landscape of South Tyrol.
Sunday
Today we’re visiting the Alpe di Siusi. It is nestled in the heart of the South Tyrolean Dolomites and is the largest high alpine pasture in Europe. The view over the South Tyrolean mountains is truly striking. It’s best to rent a E-Bike directly at the Alpe di Siusi or in the village centre of Siusi. This allows you to cover long distances quickly and comfortably and to discover plenty of new things.
Monday
After an exciting day in nature, a leisurely day at the farm, a trip to the Castle Presule or a combination of both could be the perfect choice. At the Castle Presule, you may immerse yourself in the world of Prince Leonhard von Völs. There are guided tours here every day except Saturdays.
Tuesday
The 7 Pond Trail is particularly popular. It runs along the foot of Mount Sciliar between Fiè, Aicha and S. Costantino (approx. 4 walking hours). It leads through dense forests and flowering meadows and in parts even crosses the Nature Park Mount Sciliar-Catinaccio, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. There are different entries to the trail, so you may vary the walking time.
Wednesday
Today we recommend a trip to the Lake of Fiè, it’s a 45-minute walk from the farm or accessible by bus. It’s not very large, but it offers in an idyllic location. A truly typical South Tyrolean lake with the mountains as a backdrop and clean mountain lake water as the centrepiece. The perfect refreshment on sizzling summer days.
Would you rather visit a public swimming pool? Then off you go to Telfen (distance approx. 10 km). Alternatively, we suggest taking a closer look at the local coffee roastery CAROMA. You will be amazed at how enthusiastic these people are about coffee and how this organic coffee, produced in a unique way, will fascinate you too.
Thursday
Follow the call of the mountains! South Tyrol is only half the experience without a proper hike into the mountains. Be inspired by our Mount Sciliar (2,563 m) and experience the feeling of scented forests, rugged rocks, whistling marmots, vastness, a snack in quaint huts and enjoy the satisfaction when you come back to your accommodation after an eventful day, lean back and remember a wonderful day.
Friday
You’ve really got a taste for it? Then enjoy a leisurely hike to the Tuff Alm or to the Hofer Alpl. Would you like to go out for dinner and a delicious meal? Feel free to ask us, we’ll give you the best tips!
Saturday
Round off your vacation in a relaxing way and spend another day on the farm with the animals or take a leisurely walk through the village. You may reach the village centre in a few minutes on foot. There is a grocery store where you may buy provisions for the journey, you may stop in a café or restaurant to sip one last cappuccino, or even visit the playground for children.
